Read rokka no yuusha
Maybe because of how I imagined her, I didn't quickly pick the signs quickly but she was an okay character. Light Novel - I SUSPECTED it was her, I could never exactly pinpoint it due. And because of that and just her intro in general, I saw her as like a hoe and a really annoying character in volume 2. Like the confession was awkward enough but to try and make a love triangle at the end, no. Not because the anime was going to be left on a cliffhanger and will never have a 2nd season adaptation, but maybe because she was a third wheel in Adlet and Fremy's relationship. In the anime, when Rolonia, the new, other Brave, showed up, I was really mad. Like shut your mouth and admit it cause in the anime version, it's obviously you. Like whaaaaaaat!! *mind blown*Īnd then Nashetania runs off like okay, Adlet is okay, OFF TO FIGHT THE EVIL GOD- "Sorry I'm so late!"Īside from that, I like how the book juggled two mystery lines because it made the story more interesting and intense.Īnime - It was painful to watch the seventh be revealed (even though I already knew who it was) because Nashetania was being such a whiny bitch.
#Read rokka no yuusha series
So when we were given the answer courtesy of Adlet, I was so surprised that this series used actual science to solve the mystery.
I had my suspicions on the Princess so I wasn't surprised about her being the fake, but that barrier thing I did not get. Light Novel - That climax was intense and since I read this first, I just didn't know how the barrier was activated. So just suck it up! Plus, especially with this series, the beginning really sets up the story so. Admittedly, it's slow (because there's a lot of dialogue and just Adlet and the princess), but if you like pay attention time will fly by.
Shit happens and it leaves you hanging while also feeling anxious until the very end that is definitely not healthy for my heart.īut I digress since the actual beginning was pretty good with it's slow pacing, which allowed a lot of world building, and equally as slow, but good timing, introduction to the characters.Īnime - Since the adaptation was based off only on one volume, pacing is very important especially at the beginning. Not because it spoils but because it's like a tease. THEN it rewinds and builds the story from there it's like how Persona 5 is. Light Novel - Technically, it's not in the beginning like chronological-wise, but when you open the book and start reading it gives you a hint on what's going to happen. Now I said ALMOST everything is split up if I felt like that part, character, or thing was completely the same or just a couple differences in both media I'll say 'both'. Or if you're too lazy to do that, just pick one and move on. I suggest you pick either media first, read through that part in each section, and then go back and read the other. Is for those who don't know which media to the one media vs the other media portion the review portion of this is for those who (for this series) a post where people that have watched/read or haven't can still get something from my post (for this post specifically) talk more about anime vs light novels like I mentioned earlier Since this is the first post of this series, the layout is very experimental right now so next time, there'll definitely going to be changes!! That being said, tell me what you think of this form of reviewing and if you want more (honestly if this does go well, I will probably do more regardless lmao). I'm going to change that while ALSO doing a review because just comparing is not the Chou way.
Still, despite that, no one talks about the two on an equal level hence why we're here. Granted that may be because they're 'actual' books (and we all know this community is lazy as fuck) OR most adaptations are shit.īut we have some good ones like No Game No Life, Re:Zero, Konosuba, and Spice & Wolf the only problem is that the endings are sometimes left open, leaving it easy to say 'go read the light novel'. The topic 'anime vs manga' has always been a popular, somewhat controversial thing to talk about, but I rarely see 'anime vs light novel'.
